Twickenham Stadium
Rugby Football Union
Enconsult have carried out most of the major mechanical and electrical services designs at Twickenham since 1996, when the first commission was to design the pitch floodlighting system.
This followed earlier works designed by Enconsult Directors and senior staff for the Scottish Rugby Union redevelopment of Murrayfield.
Other works at Twickenham include installation of the main generators for all matchday safety systems, perimeter floodlighting, upgrading of RFU office block, new corporate boxes in the West stand and upgrading of lighting to corporate boxes in the North and South Stands.
Recent projects include full air conditioning to serve the Presidents Suite, the Committee Room, the Members Lounge, the Spirit of Rugby Restaurant the players changing rooms; medical centre and the players tunnel all within the West Stand. Air conditioning was also provided throughout the Museum of Rugby in the East Stand.
All of these works presented challenges in locating and routing services through existing areas with minimal disruption to the considerable corporate functions of the stadium and the match calendar dates.
Total project values £5,000,000
